The park/neutral position relay allows you to start your automatic transmission vehicle when the shift is in the park or neutral position. If the shifter is in drive, reverse, or any other possible position, the vehicle will not start due to this relay. If your vehicle starts when the transmission is in any gear, or won't start when in park or neutral, this may be your issue.
